Andris Feldmanis

Andris Feldmanis (born on September 21, 1982) is an Estonian screenwriter. He graduated as a historian from the Faculty of Philosophy from University of Tartu. Worked as a journalist, as a film editor for cultural aspects of Eesti Päevaleht and as a copywriter at the advertising agency Tank. Wrote scripts together with co-screenwriter Livia Ulman for the TV series "Ohtlik Lend" (ETV), "Kättemaksukontor" (TV3), "Kodu keset linna"/"Elu keset linna" (TV3), "Keeris" (TV3) and the films "Teesklejad" (Delusion), "Roosa kampsun" (Pink Cardigan), "Hytti nro 6" (Compartment No. 6) and others. The Finnish-Estonian-Russian-German cooperation film "Compartment No. 6" (dir. Juho Kuosmanen) based on their script premiered in Cannes 2021 and won the Grand Prix there. In 2016, Feldman's debut novel "Viimased tuhat aastat" (The Last Thousand Years) was published.
