She also promised SZEMA YEE that she would forfeit her life if FUNG were defeated, so long as it could stop FUNG from seeking revenge on SHING. FUNG is at once touched and saddened by her sacrifice. He also has PIK’s understanding of retracting the vow to seek revenge. WAI, urged by PIK to forsake her love for LUI, embarks on her journey to explore the nature. SANG chances on a drunken FUNG in a tavern. He encourages him to relinquish their twenty-year feud and cherish the precious reunion with PIK. His words seem to have enlightened FUNG. FUNG returns to Wudang to find PIK’s farewell note. Upon learning that TING is seeking refuge with the Brocade Guards, KAU vows to protect her. But TING banishes him……
