YUNG makes MUI swear that he will stop seeing MIN, but when he learns that MIN has fallen ill, he tries to sneak out with deadly consequences. YUNG gives MIN money in return of her break-up with MUI, but MIN rejects her offer. YUNG mistakes her defiance as her yearning for a proper status. Deeply humiliated, MIN vows that she will not leave MUI. The two women get into a fistfight at the Women’s Association. Their row finally alerts LAN. The matriarch blames HA for his bad influence on the clan. MUI pledges to shoulder his share of responsibility, but when all eyes are set on him to reveal his decision, MUI declares that he loves both women with all his heart.
